Kyle Finlay, WG Class of '09
My swimming and coaching career started right around the waters of Whitpain Greens. My journey has taken me all over the area as an athlete and coach, La Salle High School, CBST, Germantown Academy, to name a few but I am excited to be back around the pool where my love for swimming started. My family, wife and two boys, live in East Norriton. We are excited to be a part of the Whitpain Greens Family. I, personally, cannot wait to pass down the traditions of The 'Pain to them!

Ava Helmke, WG Class of '24
I started swimming at Whitpain Greens when I was seven and I fell in love with the sport. My specialty is breaststroke but I also swam a lot of free style as well while swimming for The Academy of Notre Dame from 2020-2024, becoming the captain of the team my senior year. I started coaching at Whitpain Greens in 2022 and am so excited to be back for another season. I am currently studying International Business and Economics at Fairfield University and hope to travel more in the future for work and fun!
Nate Valentine, WG Class of '23
I'm a lifelong member of Whitpain Greens and swam for WGST every summer as well as swimming varsity at Wissahickon High School, making districts each year; my speciality is freestyle. I'm currently playing NCAA Division I water polo at Mount St. Mary's University where I'm studying computer science and math. I coached WCAC club water polo last year and am super excited to coach swimming at Whitpain this summer! Look out for me up on the basketball court at Whitpain too, and challenge me to a shoot around or a game of pickletball!
Lyla Gottfrid, WG 18&U
This year will be my 11th year swimming and my 4th year coaching at Whitpain Greens, as started swimming when was 5. currently work at Whitpain as a lifeguard and am finishing my freshman year at Methacton High School where also swim on the team during the winter. At Methacton, my main events are the 100 breaststroke and the 500 freestyle. I'm so excited to get the opportunity to coach, swim, and guard here at Whitpain Greens!
